The New Documentary 

The new documentary film Bacewicz – Bomsori,

directed by acclaimed Polish filmmaker and International Emmy Award winner Jakub Piątek, explores the life and legacy of Grażyna Bacewicz through the artistry of violinist Bomsori Kim.

In the film, Bomsori retraces the composer’s footsteps, discovers archival recordings, studies handwritten notes and scores, and meets with Bacewicz’s family. A central highlight is the introduction of Bacewicz’s recently rediscovered Rhapsody for Violin and Orchestra, presented for the first time to international audiences.

The documentary not only celebrates one of Poland’s most remarkable composers but also highlights Bomsori’s role as an ambassador of Bacewicz’s music, bringing it to life for today’s listeners around the world.

Grand Prix Jury for Best Documentary Film for “Bacewicz x Bomsori” in France!

The short documentary directed by Jakub Piątek received the award for Best Documentary Film at the French festival ONE Country ONE Film.
